CFA-LA Executive Board Meetings - Open to chapter members

The CFA-Los Angeles Executive Board (EBoard) bi-weekly meetings are open to the Los Angeles chapter membership. EBoard meetings are held virtually. Meetings for the Spring 2024 semester will be held on Thursday’s from 3:15 PM to 4:45 PM. We love our students’ mental health!
Next Wednesday, we wear red and it’s Wednesday - where once a month, the Labor Council at Cal State LA - CFA, CSUEU, APC, UAW and Teamsters meets near the Golden Eagle Statue and the Cal State LA community is invited. Next Wednesday is a special Unity Wednesday, as we celebrate student mental health services, and call our Campus President Eanes to show show her love for our students and their mental health.
Cal State LA currently holds the worst counselor to student ratio at nearly 1:4000. Last academic year, 2022-23, past President Covino stated in an Academic Senate meeting Cal State LA has a budget to fund 16 mental health counselors, yet the University has failed to reach that number and continues to hire part-time, temporary and contingent counselors, instead of investing in permanent, tenure-track positions in Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Voting for the TA begins on 2/12 at 8:00 AM to 2/18 at 5:00 PM. If you have not participated in any town hall meetings, we encourage you to participate in the final statewide town hall, scheduled for tomorrow, 2/8 at 5:00 PM.
