Strike canceled. CFA Board of Directors agree to a Tentative Agreement
Strike lines have been canceled for all 23 campuses. The CFA Board of Directors approved the settlement reached with the CFA Bargaining Team and CSU management today, as they were forced back to the table by the first ever CSU statewide strike. We worked hard, and faculty showed up! The details of the Tentative Agreement (TA) are forthcoming - if you have any questions about the details, please reach out to the Bargaining Team at bargainingideas@calfac.org.
We understand you have already communicated with your students about planning for classes this week. We encourage you to inform your students that classes will restart this week. Since the vote happened so late, you may not be able to contact your students in time for tomorrow, because of this the Bargaining Team has asked the CSU for “grace” for faculty who have made alternative plans.
The CFA-LA Chapter Executive Board will meet and plan the chapter upcoming events needed prior to the ratification vote. This agreement is tentative, and requires the approval of the CFA general body. The new agreement will not take into effect until ratification from the Board of Trustees and the CFA general membership.
