Teamsters reach a settlement, Faculty strike continues
Details about the Teamsters 2010 Tentative Agreement
You may have heard that the Teamsters just accepted a contract offer from CSU management and will not be sympathy striking with us next week. We should take this as a sign that CSU management is intimidated by our strike and the optics. The deal they made with the Teamsters is an excellent contract and does more than just give them a 5% raise. They received steps (their biggest priority), pension protections and so much more. CSU management offered them 5% raises for the next 2 years too, not to be contingent on the budget. These are so much more than the paltry offer they made to CFA in November.
Keep the faith!
WE WILL BE ON STRIKE 1/22-1/26 - rain or shine - and we know we can count on our Teamster siblings to join the line when they can. Please show up, and show up often. If we are a large, united, committed group, WE WILL WIN!

We need to be as dedicated to strike next week as we are to our students every other week of the year!
